Religious Exploration Field Trips is a supportive cohort of folks looking for their spiritual home. Together you will be supported in your search for the right fit, together the cohort will learn about and visit communities in Athens, GA . This edition will explore LGBT-Affirming Christian Churches in Athens GA!

[Required] Week 1: Opening Circle: Get to know the folks you’ll be journeying with in a low pressure environment. You’ll have the opportunity to share what you are looking for in a community, hear from others, and learn more about the denominations you’ll visit.
Week 2-5: Each Sunday we will attend a different Church service together and go to a restaurant afterward and debrief.
Week 6: Closing Circle: Integrate this experience through thoughtfully facilitated reflection and celebrate the season and this experience with folks in the cohort in a white elephant gift exchange.

It can totally still work! The opening circle is the only required session because it’s foundational to forming the group. I hope you are able to attend all other weeks, but understand that you need to miss a week. If you will not be attending, please notify the facilitator as soon as you are able so they don’t worry.
There is no partial registration or discount for week(s) missed.

Anonymously attending each of these Churches in advance to give you a real sense of what to expect and how to prepare, making this offering more accessible to anxious and neurodivergent people
